We recommend visiting the Boyana Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and taking a trip to Vitosha Mountain, one of the capital’s great natural areas. Return to the city center and enjoy a free afternoon to stroll, shop, or take in the markets and the Christmas atmosphere.
A great day to take a trip to the Rila Monastery, one of Bulgaria’s most iconic sites. Surrounded by mountains, it stands out for its architecture, its courtyards, and the colorful frescoes in its main church. Return to Sofia in the afternoon and spend your last night enjoying the city and its Christmas lights.
The morning is free to enjoy your final sightseeing, stroll along Vitosha Boulevard, explore the Serdica area once more, or take the opportunity to do some shopping. Afterward, make your own way to the airport and board your direct flight back to Madrid.
