Day 1. Arrival in Sri Lanka and Transfer to Sigiriya

Arrival at Colombo International Airport, where you will be welcomed by your local guide. Transfer by road to Sigiriya, located in the heart of Sri Lanka’s famous Cultural Triangle. Along the way, you will begin to experience the country’s rural landscapes, passing rice paddies, traditional villages, and lush tropical vegetation.

Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy some free time to rest after your journey or make use of the hotel facilities. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 2. Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the Cultural Triangle

After breakfast, visit Sigiriya, one of Asia’s most remarkable archaeological sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This spectacular fortress was built in the 5th century atop a massive rock rising nearly 200 meters above the surrounding plains, offering breathtaking views over the jungle and countryside.

Explore the royal gardens, the famous Sigiriya Maidens frescoes, and the remains of the ancient palace perched at the summit.

In the afternoon, there is the option to join a safari in Minneriya National Park, renowned for its large population of wild Asian elephants living in their natural habitat.

Day 3. Polonnaruwa and the Dambulla Cave Temples

Today is dedicated to discovering two of Sri Lanka’s most important historical treasures. In the morning, visit Polonnaruwa, the country’s medieval capital, home to impressive temples, Buddha statues, royal palaces, and remarkable examples of Sinhalese architecture.

In the afternoon, continue to the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, one of the most significant Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka. Its caves contain hundreds of Buddha images and extraordinary murals depicting centuries of religious history.

Day 4. Sigiriya to Kandy

After breakfast, depart for Kandy, the former capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom and one of Sri Lanka’s most important cultural centers. En route, stop at a spice garden to learn about the aromatic and medicinal plants that have made Sri Lanka famous for centuries.

Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the renowned Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Buddhist world. According to tradition, it houses a sacred relic of Buddha.

Later, enjoy a stroll around Kandy Lake and some free time to soak up the city’s charming atmosphere.

Day 5. Kandy and Surroundings

Spend the day exploring this delightful city surrounded by verdant hills. Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, considered among the finest in Asia, featuring an impressive collection of orchids, giant trees, and exotic plants.

Enjoy free time to wander through local markets, discover traditional handicrafts, or simply relax and enjoy Kandy’s laid-back ambiance.


Day 6. Scenic Train Journey to Ella

In the morning, transfer to the railway station for one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. The route through Sri Lanka’s central highlands passes tea plantations, cloud forests, waterfalls, and picturesque rural villages.

Upon arrival in Ella, discover one of the country’s most charming mountain towns, known for its stunning landscapes and relaxed atmosphere.

Free time to explore the village and admire the surrounding views.

Day 7. Discovering Ella

A full day to explore the beautiful surroundings of Ella. Highlights include the famous Nine Arches Bridge, an elegant railway viaduct surrounded by lush greenery, and Little Adam’s Peak, an easy hike rewarded with magnificent views over the mountains and tea plantations.

You may also visit some of the region’s most beautiful waterfalls or simply relax in one of Ella’s cozy cafés with panoramic views.

Day 8. Yala Safari and Transfer to Tangalle

Depart towards the southern coast, stopping en route for an exciting safari in Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s most important wildlife reserves. The park is home to leopards, wild elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, and an extraordinary variety of birdlife.

After the safari, continue to Tangalle, one of the most peaceful and authentic coastal areas in Sri Lanka.

Day 9. Paradise Beaches of Tangalle

Enjoy a free day to relax by the coast. Tangalle’s beaches are renowned for their natural beauty, long stretches of golden sand, and turquoise waters.

Recommended spots include Goyambokka Beach and Silent Beach, perfect for unwinding and soaking up the tropical scenery.

Day 10. Relaxation and Local Experiences

Another day at leisure to enjoy the coast. Optional activities include traditional Ayurvedic treatments, visits to nearby fishing villages, or exploring hidden coves and scenic viewpoints along the shoreline.

Tangalle’s peaceful atmosphere makes this one of the most memorable parts of the journey.


Day 11. Final Day by the Indian Ocean

A completely free day to enjoy Sri Lanka at a leisurely pace. Relax on the beach, watch the sunrise over the ocean, or simply make the most of the hotel’s facilities during your final hours in this tropical paradise.


Day 12. Return to Colombo and Departure Flight

After breakfast, transfer by road to Colombo International Airport for your return flight.
